The image that Atargatis saw was not something that was made up in he rmind .it was real, and it was morphius...

The light followed behind, but only barely noticeable. It followed the man for the sake of the ocean.. for the sake of the Goddess that ruled the water world. If she was lost.. The Gods only know what would happen next..

After finishing binding her arms and tieing a rope to her fin and attatching it to a stalagmite, so she couldn't swim away. He had noticed the strange light following the pair, simply thinking it was just the moonlight, and paying no attention to it. He had other things to worry about. Once more arranging his pointer and middle finger into points. He rested them against the side of her neck, checking the pulse, before stabbing at a point where the jaw and neck met, and then again at the temple. She was capable of waking now, the paralyzing effect of his blows before reversed. He rested against the wall by the entrance to the cave, looking out, though he kept turning his attention to Atargatis, checking restlessly. A flicker of light caught his attention, but then he blinked, looking away, deciding it was simply a glow worm.

Emery as the puppet master for Atargatis was still in his control. The whole ocean depended on Atargatis still being alive. Or did it?

The whole time Atargatis was under here, the water always seemed a little bit more calmer. She kept things stabled, you know, and protected it. With her gone, what would happen next?

Emery, as he leaned against the wall of the cave, watching Atargatis with a mix of curiousity and loathing, was thinking. It was slowly dawning on him that he had done what many would think was impossible, capture a god. And gods had powers, abilities, over what they were the god of. At least usually. And this trail of thought led him to consider the possibility that she could control the ocean, its currents, it's inhabitants, what might happen if she was killed. He didn't spend much time on the last part, mainly of controlling the ocean.

He was in a relaxed position, arms folding over his stomach, black hair drifting in the current, starting to fall into his pale eyes. Except when the he really started to think. "Oh my gods." He whispered, sitting straight up now, alert. If she controlled the ocean, and she was under his control..did that mean he could control the ocean? It was a wild thought, he told himself, but if it was true... He decided to ask her, though if she was smart she would say no. "Atargatis." He said loudly, poking her none to gently with his hand. He had swam forward, only a foot or so away, watching her intently.

Her eyes turned white blue as it vigourously opened us.In terrible danger, her body manages to protect itself from harm. he was the ocean, and a pawn ofthe gods from above. Anything for her life would be given willingly by them.

Her voice was different. It sounded like a man as everything becan to rapidly turn light blue.

The man's voice was Poseidon. The true gods in heavens of the waters, and Atargatis was his pawn...

"What does though want with Atargatis? Why does thou think it is right to taim such a beast?!" it screamed.

He didn't blink as her eyes changed colour, to focused on the question in his mind. It did register as rather odd though, and he involintary tensed, thinking she was starting to do something. Of course this all changed as his own pale skin started turning faintly blue, along with the rest of the cave he was in. He looked at it in bewilderment for a moment, but with training and past like his, he managed to keep a cool head. Until, of course, a voice, unearthly and clearly a mans, spoke, using Atargatis's body. More like scream, almost causing his ears to pop.

His eyes widened, and he swam back quickly, muscles tensed as if he was preparing to flee or attack. Automatically he grasped for a weapon, any weapon, until his hands shakily fumbled Atargatis's tridan, holding it steady despite his slightly trembling hands. He was half crouching on his fin, pointing the staff forward. He didn't know exactly how to use it, and was likely to cause something to explode.

"I am free to do what I please, spirit. I am a free man." He said in a tight, controlled, calm voice. It had the strained level note of someone who was concealing terror or anger, in his case probably a mix of both. He did not address the spirits question, not knowing who it was, and instead, in his arrogence, posed a demand of his own. "Who are you? Tell me!"

The spirit inside Atargatis felt even more rage from a mere mortal telling him what to do. If he only had his body back, much discipline would happen to this man.

It spoke more as the water currents shook with each word that was let out.

"YOU ARE MY SLAVE! ALL UNDER WATER CREATURES BOW DOWN TO ME BEFORE ATARGATIS! I AM YOUR KING: YOUR GOD: AND ATARGATIS IS MY PAWN."

His rage was getting worse as the water began to shake around them. The gods were angry, and would not hesitate to make an example out Emery if they must.

Emery couldn't help it, he felt a little flutter of fear in the pit of his stomach, but he blocked it out, keeping his head cool. If such a spirit could shake the water with each word, it certainly was powerful. His eyes widened at the things words. If what it said was true, then he had ordered the god of the sea, Poseidon, around. Hmm.. this could be a problem. Now he just had to make a choice, continue to ignore the gods, or obey there orders.

Emery did not bend his spine, did not bow to the spirit. He was a bit proud for that. Still pointing Atargatis's tridan at her, it starting to tremble slightly, Emery spoke again. "You forget, Poseidon, I am also of the land. Why should I bow?" He tilted his chin up slightly in a proud gesture.

OOC: Feel free to teach him a lesson or make an example out of him, though I'd rather you didn't kill him..
