Jenifer stood at the high point of the boat where the stearing wheel rested on the deck. She look at Daniel, her assistant Captain and spoke. "
"We are in dangerous waters. They say that this is the heart of the merpeople, but only above their territory." she said.

"Why are we here? They say that no boat has ever lasted so long above these territories."

Jennifer smirked as she heard the man. "Because the heart of these waters also have treasure..."

The man looked confused, but Jen had her reasons. She wanted to catch a mermaid here and hold her gostage for some treasure. Merpeople are quite valuable. Even in the empire. Either way she would get rich. However, the hardest part was the word 'catch;. No merperson would just hop into a net like a regular fish. Much planning was needed in the road ahead...

Five guards swam around the boat that was not so far away. They weren't in range of arrow shoot and could be barely seen. She was just about invisible to the eyes of the pirates that laid ahead.

"My lady, are they with the empire?" the man next to her asked hold a bow and arrow in his hand.

The Mistress looked up and saw a black sign of a skull that marked her boat. "No, it seems to me that they are pirates." she said. "See that mark under their boat?" The mistress said while pointing at it.

"Yes, Mistress, but why such a mark?" he asked.

"They are made for us. For us to know what boat is from where. It was an agreement made long ago with the Regulators.. But what makes me wonder is how such pirates know about a mark? they are not with the Regulators. They no nothing on how we know what boat is friendly and what boat is not."

"Perhaps, Mistress, they are aligned with our friends." he said.

"No that can't be so.." "Guards, swim up a little bit closer to the boat as I will."

"Mistress! They are pirates, and we are here for your safety. Perhaps we should call some of our warriors to talk to them."

"We do not know how long it would take them to get here, and how long the boat will last." The Mistress began to swim toward the boat, almost making herself visible. With her tridon i nhand, she prepared herself for a fight just incase something was to go wrong.

"Mistress!" The other guard said. "Very well.. but mark my word that if anything suspecious get into my head, I will not hesitate to drag you to the bottom of the ocean."

"Deal." The Mistress sarcastically said.

A few more mermaids gather around the queen as she directed them around the boat. Wit ha point of the finger, all 10 mermaids surrounded the boat underwater. She was ready for an attack if one was needed.

With her staff in hand, she raised herself above the water, but only up to her kneck. She looked at the boat and it's big sails. It seemed to her that this pirate had a lot on her mind, seeing how there were a few broken part from one place to another.

She swam a little bit closer as two mermaids from below swam under her. Interesting how such ambitious creatures could ever align each other in such a manner. there must be much gold on this medium sized boat.

On the side of her belt, she grabbed a shell horn and blew it with might. The next blow would of course mean attack, but all her mermaids knew this already. To get the attention of those on the boat, she also spoke loudly. "Pirate, I demand to see your captain." she said to one of the people that were working on her boat.

The pirate looked at the mermaid with slight shock. He wasn't expecting to see one, actually. He was a slow pirate though, and needed lots of knowledge before going anywhere in life.

He grabbed for his bow quite fast and had a point at the Mermaid, but lucky for her, Jennifer smacked the man and the arrow went high into the air.

Her voice became a whisper "Are you mad? Shoot one, and more will come. We don't even know how many they are at this moment."

"They are sly creatures, no doubt." he said almost mockingly. However, Jennifer did not pick up th tone.

"I am the captain of this boat. Mermaid, what is it that you desire?" she said politely, but with slight deviance.

"You sail these waters as if nothing would harm you.." Atargatis said. "Tell me pirate, why have you come here? What is your purpose in trust passing my territory."

even those Atargatist was a strong ruler, she had the weakness of being terrible of disguise. It was just natural for her to be Queen of the Water World, and nothing else. However, she may pay a price for her foolishnes.

"I demand you to let down to disarm yourselves if you wish to continue in our waters."

Mermaids slowly popped their head out of the water, and in a few minutes, the boat was completely surrounded. She gave off a smirk on her face as all of them were armed with either a bow and arrow or a tridan that was passed down form their previous generations.

"I ask you once more, madam, to leave this place, or I will not hesitate to make an example out of you." she said.

Jennifer looked around as maybe 30 heads popped out into view. Odds are there was more still underwater. She had no chance of survival.

"What if we made a deal?" she said with a small smile on your face. "What does the famous Atargatis wants
